AI sales intelligence for biotech

Six market gaps. Four AI modules shaped around cognitive load.
Context
A confidential biotech client developing a sales coaching platform needed human factors-grounded design and evaluation for a dashboard used by sales representatives during and after client calls. The engagement began with client-supplied process videos and whiteboard documentation, without existing product benchmarks.
Challenge
User interviews and workflow validation were proposed and scoped, but removed by the client. Cognitive load patterns, information timing during active calls, and task flow assumptions therefore remained unvalidated with users.
How we helped
Led competitive analysis, user flow reconstruction, interactive prototype design, AI function specification, and heuristic evaluation across the product. Benchmarked four direct competitors, identified six market gaps, and specified four agentic AI modules with interaction constraints grounded in active-call cognitive load.
The impact
- •Identified six market gaps and structured design direction within client-approved features
- •Limited AI coach recommendations to three per interaction and evaluated information chunking, disclosure patterns, and color-as-signal use through heuristic review
- •Delivered task flows and AI triggers ready for future usability protocol development, with unvalidated assumptions and known gaps formally documented
